Water As A Source Of Energy

Long before the industrial age, people used water as a source of energy. The first machine to use water was most likely a platform built beside a stream that was attached to a bladed wheel. The water fell on the blades and turned the wheel. Old-fashioned water mills still use water this way.

A water mill is a machine for converting the energy of free-flowing or falling water into useful forms of power.
Also engineers have made use of water and gravity,to tapped into one of nature's engines to create a useful form of energy know as the hydroelectric power use as electricity, which is used in our homes, industries, factory schools and many more...

the generation of hydro power does not emit air pollution or greenhouse gas emissions.

hydro power it is sustainable and nonpolluting source of electricity that can help decrease our dependence on fossil fuels and reduce the threat of global warming.

And this is done by constructions of dams, like Three Gorges Dam in china,,Kölnbrein Dam in Austria and khangi dam in Nigeria
